The Rooftop Gallery and Workshops relies on donations to fund projects to help budding artists, designers and crafts people within the local community.
We encourage artists to exhibit their work in our gallery space; they may not have had the confidence or the resources to show their work before. We would be glad to have the funding to buy frames and pay for the gallery space so that they can have opportunity to share their skills, in order to boost their confidence and either encourage them into the workplace, set themselves up as self-employed, or go on to further education.

January 2014 The Rooftop Gallery has become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO)
A meeting among the original group of people who formed the Corby Artist's Network and the Rooftop Gallery and Workshops met on 22nd July 2013 and it was unanimously agreed to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. John, Lilian and Ian were unanimously elected as the founding trustees.
The process is now complete and we are a charity!
David Walker has since joined the board. We also agreed unanimously that there should be a representatives panel for the co-ordinator to tap into as a focus group to shape decisions about the operational side of things. The group would also ensure everyone has a way to feed in.
The panel would comprise a representative for:
- Resident Artists
- Volunteers
- Tutors
- Children
- Artists
- Users (who would link into their own users group)
Additionally there are named advisors for education, community organisations, strategic fit in Arts sector, and funding. Anyone interested in being these reps should contact Dinah Kazakoff.
