Art 4 All has been extended for another month so you still have chance to come and see it. 51 exhibitors ranging from 3 to 70 years old and some new pieces have been swapped in - so even if you have been then come and take a second look.

A well attended opening night with Artists posing with their work - the photos are up on the wall for people to see. The whole disc is available for £5 or if you want an individual print they cost £1. Please contact Andrej 07776814149 if you want to buy them

Next exhibition May 3rd Corby Photographic Society are holding what will become an annual exhibition.

Bedroom Tax Protest - the Gallery has been the meeting place for community activists trying to protest about this new tax which affects the poorest and most vulnerable in our town. Artists from the Gallery got involved in making placards. Win win....new faces....good placards....more people aware of the Gallery and a chance to see some ART to raise your spirits.

We are planning a possible photography and poetry/writing exhibition profiling people's experiences of this tax. Get in touch on the facebook page if you are interested.

Studios are all full but there is a waiting list and spaces become available

Rooftop Gallery Update March 2013
Open wed-sat 11- 4 and thur late opening till 8pm

We are One
We held our inaugural meetings on 14th and 16th March last year when 40 people agreed to take
forward my vision of a “centrally accessible place for the making and showing of Art”. And here we are
just short of a year later with 9 studios housing 11 Artists and our 8th exhibition. We have shown work
by over 100 Artists in 5 collective exhibitions and 3 private shows. Work is being made on the

Emmeline Boulton closed with 387 viewers and promise of an exhibiton in the new building of the Manchester School of Art. Thanks to all who helped with this.

Our first themed exhibition –“Out of the Darkness” featuring a whole host of new Artists and some of our old favourites – opened on 27th October. First time curation for Sam and Phil. Great job. Another stunning exhibition under our belt. Number 4!!!

OCTOBER UPDATE FROM ROOFTOP GALLERY AND WORKSHOPS

September has seen an amazing growth in activity at the Gallery. Largely thanks to one of those fluke moments when Ceilidh Devine and Phillip McGowan walked into the town centre managers office asking about promoting Artists and they were re-directed to????? Yes, you’ve guessed it. The Rooftop!!! They are happy to function from here - meaning that for the time being we can be open from 11-5 mon - sat. Thursdays we stay open till 8.30pm.

So what’s been going on since last update?
Well, despite the usual upheaval of August there has been quite a bit going on.
We tried to maintain gallery opening as wed-sat 12-4 as a standard pattern which allowed for visitors to see the current exhibition. We now need VOLUNTEERs for the rota on Fridays and Saturdays!!!. However there were additional activities which means the building was open at other times too.

The 12 people attending agreed that we were following the vision we agreed at the founding meeting. So we will keep on doing what we are doing!

Update!!!

Corby Artists' Network - now with contact addresses numbering 400 - signed the Lease this week for the Rooftop Gallery & Workshops (Thanks to those who joined in the name search) complete with logo and email address therooftopgalleryandworkshops@yahoo.co.uk
